Drummer Completes Marathon Session, Playing Every Foo Fighters Song in One Sitting for Charity

Drummer Greg Barton has played every Foo Fighters song ever made in one sitting for charity. This past Friday (June 7), Barton kept true to his promise of playing along with every Foo Fighters song ever released in a single sitting to raise funds for cancer research. The feat, which he accomplished, took over nine hours and saw Barton play every album in the order of their release, following each album’s tracklisting as written.

So far, Barton has raised US$7,700 and counting. You can donate to the cause here. He dedicated the feat to his grandmother, who is currently battling cancer, and late Foo Fighters drummer Taylor Hawkins.

Barton wrote of his achievement on social media: “Not only did we smash our fundraising goal, but I made it the distance and had an absolute blast along the way… This was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. You can see my left hand completely cramp up at song 57 and I truly thought I might DNF (did not finish)… I think pure adrenaline carried me through the last three albums.”
