Method Man States Diddy’s Federal Indictment ‘Has Nothing to Do With Hip-Hop’

Diddy’s federal indictment has caused ripples in the hip-hop world. TMZ recently caught up with Method Man, asking the Wu-Tang Clan member whether Sean “Diddy” Combs’ arrest could signal a potential downfall for hip-hop culture.

Method Man responded, “How? I don’t think it has anything to do with hip-hop as far as the culture. What are we talking about here? [It] has nothing to do with hip-hop at all. I don’t see the correlation whatsoever.”

He went on to reference fans who still listen to R. Kelly’s music despite his conviction and 30-year sentence for sexual abuse in 2022, adding, “We’re talking about creativity and music. There are people still bumping R. Kelly’s stuff. I don’t know, I can’t answer that. But I don’t think it has anything to do with hip-hop.”
