Doja Cat Was Shocked When the Soaked Crowd at Parklife Festival Didn’t Know the Lyrics to a Hilary Duff Classic

Doja Cat had some fun during her set at the Parklife Festival in Manchester, England on Sunday (June 9), infusing her headlining performance on the Valley stage with a touch of early 2000s pop magic. Despite thunderstorms turning the grounds into a muddy soup, Doja performed under a large clear rain poncho, covering an outfit consisting of a white thong, matching top, and furry boots.

In a nod to the inclement weather, Doja launched into an a cappella rendition of Hilary Duff’s 2004 anthem “Come Clean,” singing, “Let it wash away/ My sanity/ ‘Cause I want to feel the thunder/ I wanna scream/ Let the rain…” She then stopped, mockingly berating the silent audience. “B–ch you don’t know that s–t?! What the f–k! Wow. Wow,” she exclaimed, seemingly disappointed that the soggy attendees were not familiar with the song from Duff’s 2003 album, Metamorphosis.

Doja quickly moved on, as her band started up her hit “Say So.” Later, she posted a sweet note to attendees on X, writing, “Thank you Manchester! Thank you Parklife!” Doja’s UK summer tour continues on Tuesday (June 11) with a show at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, followed by a performance on Wednesday (June 12) at the Resorts World Arena in Birmingham. She will also be performing in Newcastle Upon Tyne and London before heading to Amsterdam, Paris, and the Rock in Rio Lisboa in Lisbon on June 23.
