Jade Thirlwall of Little Mix has released her latest solo track, “Midnight Cowboy,” co-written with RAYE.

This new song follows her debut solo single, “Angel Of My Dreams,” which dropped in July under RCA. The debut track reached No.7 on the U.K. Official Singles Charts and has garnered 40 million streams to date.

“midnight cowboy” includes a spoken-word interlude by Doctor Who star Ncuti Gatwa and features a lyrical nod to former British Vogue editor Edward Enninful: “I’m the editor, call me Mr Enninful.” Written in 2022, Thirlwall describes the song as a “sultry, understated, bass-heavy bop” about embracing both your sexuality and the talents that come with it.

with the release of “Angel Of My Dreams,” Jade became the last member of Little Mix to launch a solo career. The group, which includes Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, and formerly Jesy Nelson, went on hiatus in 2021 after a decade of performing and touring to explore individual projects.
