Paloma Faith left “shaking” after “sexist” exchange with ‘The Voice’ host that was cut from show
Paloma Faith has revealed an incident on The Voice in 2016 that left her “shaking” after a “sexist” exchange with another coach, which was cut from the final broadcast. In her memoir MILF, Faith discusses her experiences of motherhood, fame, and misogyny. At the time, she was undergoing hormone treatments for IVF, which heightened her emotions.
She made a joke during the show that was misinterpreted, prompting the coach to make a sexist remark about PMT, which was edited out.
Unable to respond due to her emotional state, Faith ran off stage and blacked out. Fellow coach will.i.am offered support, and the production team provided conflict resolution before filming continued. Faith’s memoir aims to challenge patriarchal expectations of women and empower them. She is set to perform at Camp Bestival Shropshire and the 2024 Margate Summer Sessions.
