Paramore’s Hayley Williams Voices Opposition to Donald Trump at iHeartRadio Music Festival

Hayley Williams During the 2024 iHeartRadio Music Festival, the Paramore singer didn’t hold back her views on Donald Trump.

On Friday (Sept. 20), while performing “Big Man, Little Integrity” at Las Vegas’ T-Mobile Arena, she made her stance on the Republican presidential nominee clear, as he competes against Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election.

“Project 2025 is Donald Trump’s strategy for controlling and punishing women, low-income individuals, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community,” Williams stated, addressing a camera livestreaming the event on Hulu. “It’s time for all Americans to unite and finally defeat the Trump agenda. The only way to do this is by confronting him at the polls. Do you want to live in a dictatorship? Then show up and vote.”

This isn’t the first time Williams has criticized Republican politicians for their anti-LGBTQ+ laws. Last year, the “Ain’t It Fun” singer took aim at Florida Governor Ron DeSantis during her performance at the Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, N.J.

“If you vote for Ron DeSantis, you’re f—ing dead to me. Is that clear enough for everyone?” she told the audience.

Earlier this year, Paramore also rejected a Tennessee resolution honoring the band for their Grammy win after state lawmakers blocked a similar resolution for Allison Russell.
