Sunmi expresses her sentimentality in the new music video for “Balloon in Love.”

K-pop singer Sunmi has released a music video for her latest single, “Balloon in Love.”

Filmed in Croatia, the video depicts a seemingly perfect relationship gradually falling apart, despite Sunmi’s efforts to hold on. In the opening verse of this sentimental mid-tempo pop-rock song, she sings, “Out of breath, looking at you / Makes my heart balloon / Someone says it’s gonna blow up one day / No, right? No, right?”

“Balloon in Love” is Sunmi’s first new release in eight months, following her October 2023 digital single “Stranger.” Prior to that, she released the single “Heart Burn,” which was named one of the 25 Best K-pop Songs of 2022.
